A new rocket "epsilon" first issue machine was launched at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Uchinora outer space observatory of the Kimotsuki, Kagoshima (with the liver) town at 2:00 on the afternoon of 14th. Approximately one hour later, I separate planet observation satellite "sprint A" by planned orbit of the South America sky if I go smoothly. It is 12 years since the last launching of the domestic new rocket since H2A of the main plane.
The launching was a plan of 1:45 p.m., but a ship might invade the caution area and was postponed for 15 minutes
The epsilon is approximately 24 meters in total length by three steps-type small rocket to use the solid fuel. JAXA developed it for approximately 20 billion yen. Since late M5 where the launching of the solid rocket was abolished in 2006.
The epsilon features low cost and effectiveness. I converted a technique of solid rocket booster and M5 of H2A and held down a development cost. I realized simple launching control by application of IT (information technology), and the first issue machine was equipped with the world's first device which checked a body automatically.
The launching was a plan of August 22 at first, but was postponed by the false wiring of facilities above the ground and the false detection of the body posture twice
