【ワシントン＝黒瀬悦成】米海軍第７艦隊司令部（神奈川県横須賀市）は２４日、米西部サンディエゴを今月６日に出港した原子力空母セオドア・ルーズベルトを軸とする第９空母打撃群が２３日に西太平洋に入ったと発表した。朝鮮半島周辺で米韓共同訓練に参加していた原子力空母ロナルド・レーガンとともに、西太平洋に米空母２隻が同時に展開することになる。

　第９空母打撃群は西太平洋を経て、ペルシャ湾での警戒任務に就く予定。北朝鮮による核実験や弾道ミサイル発射で緊張が高まる朝鮮半島近海に展開するかどうかが注目されている。

　ルーズベルトのカルロス・サルディエロ艦長は「人道支援活動から戦闘作戦まで、想定し得るあらゆる任務を実行する準備ができている」と述べた。
